Our Commitment to
Sustainability
Building better mattresses — and a better planet.
Local manufacturing.
Global responsibility.
At Nidikumba, sustainability is not a trend — it is the natural result of how we have always operated. By manufacturing entirely within Sri Lanka, we eliminate the carbon footprint associated with international freight and long-haul shipping. Every coil, every layer of foam, and every fabric covering is sourced locally, which means the energy and transport costs of our supply chain are a fraction of what global brands incur.
This approach also strengthens the Sri Lankan economy. Money spent on a Nidikumba mattress stays within the country — supporting local suppliers, local workers, and local communities. For us, responsible business and good environmental practice are the same thing.
Our sustainable practices
Local raw materials
Every material used in production is sourced from suppliers within Sri Lanka, eliminating international shipping waste entirely from our supply chain.
No international shipping waste
Because we manufacture and sell domestically, we generate zero international freight emissions — a significant difference compared to imported mattress brands.
Community employment
We employ local craftspeople and production staff, contributing to stable incomes and skilled employment opportunities in our region.

Local Sourcing
All raw materials used in Nidikumba mattresses are sourced from within Sri Lanka. This reduces transport emissions and keeps supply chains short and accountable.
Reduced Waste
Our production process is designed to minimise offcuts and material waste at every stage. Scrap materials are collected, sorted, and responsibly disposed of or reused where possible.
Sri Lankan Jobs
Every mattress is assembled by skilled workers employed directly at our local factory. We provide stable employment and invest continuously in the skills of our team.
Community Impact
The Natural Choice (Put) Ltd has been part of the local community since 1998. We support the livelihoods of families across the region through direct and indirect employment.
Ethical Production
We operate a factory that prioritises worker wellbeing — fair wages, safe conditions, and respectful management. Our ethics are not a marketing claim; they are built into how we operate.
Long-Life Products
A mattress that lasts 12 years is inherently more sustainable than one replaced every 3. We engineer for longevity so less waste enters the cycle and customers get genuine long-term value.
Sleep well.
Live responsibly.
Every Nidikumba mattress is a choice you can feel good about — for your body, your home, and the community around you.
